Hi! We’re Ryan and Natasha (or Ryasha if we’re feeling extra cheesy). It all started when Natasha had an idea to sell some of her old festy fits and realized there had to be a better way. We wanted to create a space where the festival community could refresh their wardrobes sustainably and where small vendors and creatives could safely share their beautiful creations.
Natasha is the idea lady, vending queen, and the one who can spot a killer outfit from across the dancefloor. She’s the heart behind Refest and the mastermind behind the dream.
Ryan is the tech wizard who taught himself to build this site from scratch because he believed so much in Natasha’s vision. He makes sure everything runs smoothly so you can snag your next festival fit.
Our Mission
At the heart of our mission is the belief that every garment has a unique story to tell, and every time you choose an outfit, it’s portrays a sense of who you are. We’re here to help you in the self-expression part of festival fashion, keeping it weird, wonderful but at the same time way more sustainable than buying some Shein fit you’ll wear once.
We’re not just building a marketplace, but a community who believes in the same values we do. We aim to reduce waste, promote conscious shopping, and help every fur coat, sequin pants, and wirewrapped necklace find a new home.
Because every outfit should get to see another party, and the planet shouldn’t pay the price.
Sustainability
Before we started this we had to ask, is shipping actually better for the planet then making new clothes?? Making one t-shirt takes about 2,700 liters of water, enough for a person to drink for 2.5 years. Producing a single pair of pants can emit as much CO₂ as driving over 125 kilometers.
Shipping a piece of clothing once, even across the country, adds only a tiny fraction of that footprint. Picking it up locally or shipping within the same city can create less CO₂ than a short car ride.
Giving clothes a second life keeps them out of landfills, saves huge amounts of water and energy, and helps you find unique pieces without supporting shady production. That is the hear of our mission, cool fits that are sustainable.
We’re focused on one thing – festival fashion. Etsy buries festival gear under dropshipped items from Aliexpress. ThreadUp and Poshmark are full of business casual office fits. Facebook Marketplace? Good luck finding anything without awkward meetups and people who won’t answer their damn messages.
Refest is just for the festival fam. We focus on wild, unique outfits made to party again, not gather dust. No random junk. No boring basics. Just killer fits, a community that gets it, and a mission to keep fashion fun and sustainable.
